SAFETY OFFICER
Job Responsibilities
- To inspect the place of work for any hazards that can cause bodily injury to the persons employed in the workplace.
- To investigate any accident, near-miss, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational diseases happened at the place of work.
- To advice employer regarding safety and health issue at place of work.
- To assist employer/safety committee in organizing and implementing safety and health program.
- To become secretary to the safety and health committee.
- To assist safety and health committee in any inspection of the workplace for compliance with the Acts.
- To collect, analyze and maintain statistic on any accident, near-miss, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease happened in the place of work.
- To assist any officer in carrying out his/her duty under the Act or any regulations made under the Act.
- To carry out any other instructions made by the employer on any matter pertaining to safety and health of the place of work.
Requirements
- Must be a green book holder with at least 4 years of working experience.
- In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA) and procedures
- Diligent with great attention to detail.
- Willing to work in Meru, Klang.
